Our close proximity to Castlewellan Forest Park (approx. 500m to Dolly's Brae Car park Entrance) makes us an excellent base for anyone wishing to make best use of all the amenities there. These include the maze, Castle, Lake and childrens playground. Walking, mountain biking, kayaking, hiking and pony treking can all be enjoyed in these beautiful surroundings. We are 5 minutes by car from Castlewellan market town with its historic buildings, shops, pubs and restaurants.
Also within easy striking distance of Murlough Nature Reserve and beach, Tollymore Forest Park and the Mourne Mountains. Many more activities are available in the local area. Further details can be provided on request.
We are doing our bit to preserve the environment by powering the site with a hybrid off grid system. This is a combination of solar and wind power for lighting and device charging.

Birch
Cabins
Birch Cabin:
Our first cabin 'The Birch' is insulated wooden en-suite accommodation with a double bed, bunk beds and a small sofa bed. Birch is self contained with phone charging, fridge, bedclothes and dishes. It has its own BBQ area and fire pit. The Birch is suitable for a couple or a family. It is available to book all year round.
We have recently installed a unique outdoor heated bath where you can enjoy bubbles under the stars with the one you love.

Children
There is plenty of space for children to run and play or ride their bikes on the site as well as the covered social area. We would ask that children be accompanied and supervised at all times by a responsible adult member of your party. The pond area is fenced off for safety. Many of the borders have been given over to wild flowers and are great areas for exploration! Frogs, newts and rabbits can all be found on site.
Cancellations
If you cancel we will or are likely to suffer financial loss and so we make charges to cover them.

More than 4 weeks prior to arrival date -a full refund minus an administration fee of £10. Less than 4 weeks prior to arrival date - no refund. If we receive a cancellation we will try our best to resell the dates, if we can a full refund will be issued minus an administration fee of £20. If you leave the site before your scheduled check out date we will not refund any of the price paid for your stay.
Visitors
Visitors are welcome to visit during the day. Only the number of persons specified on the booking may occupy the accommodation. Please be aware that car parking spaces are limited and reserved for Escape Glamping guests. The named adult on the booking is responsible for all of their visitors while on site.
